Home

"It feels so good to be back home again"

Some where around day four or day five I got lost/overwhelmed/consumed by work and the horse show. After nine days away, all I know for sure is that I am so glad to be back home.

Handy Man survived playing Mr Mom. Mr Blue Eyes really didn't flinch too much from what I was told. I think my Brown Eyed Girl had a harder time this trip with out her mommy. She's getting older, more aware of her surroundings, and just plain missed her mommy. The last few nights of phone calls home were a struggle. No tears, but I was probably asked twenty times each night when I was coming home. It was obvious she missed me.

I missed them.

Saturday morning my Brown Eyed Girl slipped into bed with me at 5:30 am and we snuggled and I tried desperately to fall back to sleep watched Tangled. Mr Blue Eyes - my beautiful boy who possess the ability to sleep in - woke later in the morning and we made breakfast and went outside to enjoy the day.

There was nothing special about the day, nothing out of the ordinary, but I drank it in like the last mirage in a desert.

After naps, I decided to treat the kids to a fun afternoon outing. We packed some snacks and headed to the park. Even Boji got to come for a ride.

I sure did miss all three of these little cute little faces.

It was a pretty warm afternoon. Thankfully, the park had several large shade trees that covered the one piece of equipment the kids were obsessed over.

The "Chugga-chugga-choo-choo"

Up and down the stairs.

Exploring every nook and cranny.

I can't believe how big Mr Blue Eyes is getting.

How tall my Brown Eyed Girl is growing.

I want every day to be like today.

My kids sure did miss me.

I definitely missed them.

I would trade every opportunity in the world for solo-mom-time to just hold them close and see their smiling faces every day.
