My poor Brown Eyed Girl has been down for the count all weekend with the flu. A nasty little bugger of a virus stealing my beautiful Brown Eyed Girl's smiles.
Her first ever real stomach bug.
A mother's role is character building (especially when your kids are flu stricken.)
As I braced myself for the worst possible experience this weekend, I found myself relying on flashbacks of my youth and how my mother handled situations like this.
Lots of Towels, draped strategically - check
Trash cans lined in plastic bags accessible in every room - check
I was ready!
For the most part, my Brown Eyed Girl looked like this all weekend.
Completely exhausted.
After a long nap, she was feeling a brief relief in nausea and exhaustion. She wanted to run and skip and play... okay maybe not. But she was board, board, board. Tired of coloring, tired of watching movies (yeah right) just tired of being a slug.
I couldn't blame her. I have been there all too often.
What to do that is relaxing, fun and requires low to no energy exertion?
Welcome to New You Spa Services alla Mommy.
Everyone loves a pedicure!
Especially, when the paint is almost purple!
Smiles all around.
And Mr Blue Eyes was included. His first pedicure - although I don't think he was that impressed.
Fine by me... cause my pretty princess loves them enough for everybody.
