Birthday Boy

Happy Birthday to my beautiful blue eyed boy. I can hardly believe he just turned 2. Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday Mr Blue Eyes and my Brown Eyed Girl were laying under the Jungle-gym, holding hands, my toddler and new baby boy.

And not my baby is a toddler and my toddler is a little girl.

Two...

We had a big boy birthday party over the weekend.

Gifts galore.

The tissue paper was the best part...

At least he took a moment to glance at a new shirt.

The "Theme" of the party gifts was "Outside Toys"

Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Matt followed the rules.

Grandma Rhonda followed the rules.

Mommy and Daddy followed the rules.

Grandpop and Grandma Joan followed the rules.

But Aunt Christi...

Did not follow the rules when she bought Mr Blue Eyes those big, cardboard blocks. BIG cardboard blocks.

Handy Man was really excited about the BIG cardboard blocks.

Visions of cardboard blocks everywhere flooded his mind.

Of course Handy Man is really my 3rd child. so before I knew it, he had orchestrated an assembly building party.

Grandma Rhonda helped.

Grandma Debbie helped.

Grandpa Matt helped.

And then we built towers.

And Grandma Rhonda teased the kids by blowing over their tower. Everyone laughed.  (Handy Man forgot to laugh for he was too focused on the hockey game.)

And then... WE HAD CAKE!

After practicing for several weeks, Mr Blue Eyes successfully blew out his candle and made a wish - for more cars.

Happy Birthday Mr Blue Eyes!
