Lego Friends

When Handy Man was a little boy he loved Legos. His mother has saved most of his Legos from when he was a child. She often has commented that someday, when he had a son of his own, she would gift him with all of his Legos stored in her basement.

I can remember playing with Legos when I was younger. The kits they had always amazed me. Intricate pirate ships, battle cruisers, space stations... a whole slew of creations that any young boy would trade a couple baseball cards and spend all of their piggy bank money for. I was usually only entertained for a short while before I retreated to my Bryer horses and Barbies.

Legos just weren't the IT toy of choice for me when I was younger. They were "boy" toys.

Oh Lego, how your company has evolved!

They now have "girl" Legos.

Girl characters. Pets. Lego bows and other hair accessories. Hues of pink and purple. Lego flowers.

My Brown Eyed Girl recently received Stephanie's Soccer Practice.

And Olivia's Newborn Foal!

And they have other horse inspired Legos like Emma's Horse Trailer and Heartlake Stables!

All I know is that this mom (with a 6 year old, horse crazy, girl screaming inside) would have died to get my hands on these things when I was my daughter's age! I might have become an architect or an engineer....

As excited as I was to build Olivia's Newborn Foal, I let the master, the "experienced" parent, take the lead on her first Lego instruction and construction.

Page by page the pieces were assembled.

How stink'en cute is that little wheel barrel and water pump?!?!?

What I would have given for girl Legos!

My Birthday is in November.

I would either like Sunshine Ranch...

Or Heartlake Horse Show.

Please and Thank you!

Just disregard the fact that they cost like $80 - Yikes!! This might be an expensive idea...
