For a parent, five means less micromanaging, easier communication, and one year closer to both kids being on the same schedule, at the same school, all-day-long-easy-to-plan-your-day perfect age! High-five! Give-me-five!
Awesome!
We are now a household where everyone is at least five!
My handsome Mr Blue Eyes woke on the morning of his 5th Birthday (May 2nd) and said, "Mom! Today I am Five... and one half!"
So, since he decide he would skip right over being just five to being five and one half, "technically" I am not belated in posting about his big day. Life has been SO windy these days that I will take every inch I can muster.
Five!
The Big Birthday Boy decided that he wanted cinnamon rolls for breakfast. He was super excited to get to use the red special plate!
Cupcakes went to school - store bought because that's how I roll these days...
Special dinner request was none other than Bor-rreee-toes!
But the highlight of his birthday was his party at the BIG Monkey Bizness.
The giant slide was the major attraction.
Bouncy castles
Cutting loose. The kids all had a blast.
But nothing says Birthday like the cake! And this year, Mr Blue Eyes personally selected a winner!
I kid you not, he told me exactly what he wanted this year. No monster trucks, tractors, Spider-Man, or Super Man adorned cakes. Nope, he specifically wanted a chocolate cake with strawberry jelly in the middle, white frosting with strawberries cut on top, sprinkles and blue and orange letters.
He took one look and said, "Awwwl right! It's perfect Mom!" Two thumbs up!!
Some of the other parents kind of giggled and snickered.
But every kid thought it was the best cake ever!
The only critic that mattered was this dude and the smile says it all!
Best thing about Monkey Bisness... this mom didn't have to clean up after!!!
High-five! Give-me-five! Five is an awesome Birthday!!
