Draw Something

In June, I will have had my iPhone for one year. It is my very first Smart Phone. Up until then, I only had Stupid Phones. I took the Smart Phone plunge kicking and screaming. It is a phone after all. A modern day convenience that allows you to be reached and reach those while you're out and about. Perfect for when Handy Man calls me at the grocery store to remind me we need more cat food. Perfect for letting the baby sitter know you are stuck in traffic and might be running ten minutes late. But who needs a virtual hand-held computer in the palm of your hands 24/7? I spend all day on the computer. Why on Earth would I want to spend my free time on the internet? A waste of money! All you need is to be able to talk... texting is cool... photo/video capability is a bonus feature. The rest is a waste of money.

And then I got my first iPhone...

I am pleased to admit that I have no idea how I ever survived, navigated or entertained myself without one.

Aps are AMAZING!

I can read a book with Kindle and iBooks.

I can find a Starbucks anywhere using Yelp.

I can post to this very blog using the Blogger ap.

AMAZING!

Technology. Wow!

Thanks to a couple of lovely ladies at work, I have a new addiction. On Friday, they told me about a free ap called Draw Something.

Disclaimer: Once downloading this ap, you will find yourself drawing for hours and hours. You will forget to eat, feed your children, remember to get dressed... Time will slip away and before you know it your entire Saturday is gone. Followed by your Sunday. Until your husband threatens to crush your iPhone. Your daughter will tell you to quit ignoring her. Your son with whine all weekend begging for human contact. But you won't care. You are an artist. You will fake having to use the restroom so you can sit in silence, concentrate and draw. You are scoring so many coins. You earned enough coins to buy new colors to draw in. This is amazing. You must get MORE COINS. You will become irritated when your sisters don't draw fast enough and you wait, and wait, and wait for a new drawing to guess. What could they possibly be doing that is more important? You will become angry when you can't decipher a drawing. You will text your sister and tell her that her drawings are crap because you had to pass and ruined your guessing streak. It will hurt her feelings. But you don't care - tough love! This is serious!

A serious addiction...

My name is Angela, and I am addicted to Draw Something.

Here is how it works...

You select something to draw. You get three choices. Each word varies in difficulty and is valued at either 1, 2, or 3 coins respectively.

Then using different paint colors you draw!

When you are done, the drawing is sent to your friend. They view it, guess what you drew, and then get the chance to draw something in return for you to guess.

I know, you're thinking, "That's it?"

Ohhhhh...exactly! That. Is. It. And IT is AMAZING!

The little bomb icon allows you to get rid of some of the filler letters in case you are struggling. But once they are gone... you are on your own.

Until you can buy more bombs.

I should have bought more bombs...

Instead, I bought new colors. So much more fun!!!

Gold, teal, pink, purple, green... Oh My!

A whole new level of fun!

Come on Mr Blue Eyes! Let's Draw Something!!!
