Best Friends?
Are you kidding me?
Our Brown Eyed Girl and her blond little sidekick are more like sisters.
Last night while I was cooking dinner, I was thumbing through Facebook. Thinking about Mr Blue Eyes' upcoming first birthday, I found myself reminiscing though some pictures on my daycare provider's page. The more pictures I looked at the more I was amazed how lucky my kids are.
It's no secret I have the best baby sitter in the world. Just ask. I can give you a million reasons why I struck the lottery the day I found her. She gives my kids a real home-away-from-home every day.
Sometimes I wonder if my Brown Eyed Girl will miss out somehow not having a sister.
But how could she? She has the next closest thing to a sister right now. Her little blond sidekick.
They are only about three weeks apart. In the first three years of their little lives they have shared to much. So many memories, to many adventures, so many milestones.
Tummy time and gurgling conversations.
First field trips.
Matching outfits.
I envy my sitter and friends with two girls. All of those cute matching dresses. I am still working on getting used to the term "Coordinating Outfits."
Maybe I will just have to continue to shop for these two cuties.
They have shared adventures to the Children's Museum and dreams about being ballerinas and princesses.
The joy of getting lost in a good book.
The love of animals.
More matching outfits.
They learned are learning how to share.
How to hug. How to Kiss. How to love one another.
They definitely know that candy does in fact make them happy.
More matching shirts...
They have exchanged laughter and share inside jokes.
I just love this picture. You can see the mischief in their eyes.
They are silly.
They share a love for baking and eating cookies. Okay, mostly eating the cookies.
They even like to brush their teeth together!
They both went through the I-can-only-make-this-fake-kind-of-smile-when-you-ask-me-to-mom phase together. Many a great moments captured just like this.
Then there are the pool parties.
And the first slumber parties.
They have scoured the yard, hunting for eggs.
Carved pumpkins.
Dressed up for Halloween.
And built snowmen.
I think there was a little adult participation here.
Two little cowgirls in the making.
Learning about horses at the 2012 Stock Show.
Watching the draft horses.
Two little rodeo princesses.
Dreaming about summer days.
When they can brush horses.
And ride.
Two little peas in a pod.
Sometimes there comes a point in life when two little girls stop being just friends and become sisters.
